"I always say that my achievements have been a combination of experience gained over time and confidence in myself." Enjoy our interview with Makeup Artist Areli Galo.

Beauty Tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Areli Galo From an early age emerged my fascination with the arts, while my hobbies are singing, dancing, drawing, painting and of course makeup on throughout my life. I am a very passionate and disciplined person in things I do, that’s why I'm always constantly learning and updating, I think this has been the mainstay of my success.

Beauty Did you always want to be a Makeup Artist?

Yes, of course, since I was a child I used to be always attentive to detail in the makeup of the people around me, and if I saw something I liked, I quickly reproduced it my way whether it was drawing it with my school colored pencils or using my mom’s cosmetics!

Beauty What the prompted you to get into Makeup Artist?

My life has been closely linked to the stage, runways and reflectors and this led me to be a person with full knowledge and skills to make everything myself, not depending on others and always be ready for showtime. That’s how my story as a makeup artist began, I first did myself makeup and people liked it, then I started studying, learning and sharing it with everyone and I became a makeup artist.

Beauty What's the biggest challenge you faced on your road to becoming a Makeup Artist?

Unfortunately in my country the work of stylist, both as the makeup artist is viewed with contempt in comparison to other careers and this makes it very difficult to compete in the market because there are no regulations that allow a person without education and skills to work as if someone has studied.

Beauty Where do you find your inspiration?

I find my inspiration in nature, I believe that the ranges of color, lines and designs, that God gives us in the warm sunsets in the sea, fresh sunrises in a field of corn, on a starry night sky, in flowers, trees, animals running around and enjoying the wind, the fire, earth, water or even a rainy day in a bustling city ... for me there will always be an inspiration even in the more stressful situation because right there will be a spark of beauty to maximize in the most positive aspect.

Beauty If I Asked  your educator one negative and one strength about you what would they be?

As a weakness to be so perfeccionist has been negative in my life 'cause sometimes it makes me feel sad about failure in my plans. My strength is that I’m so demanding, and I don't stop keep fighting until I accomplished my goal.

Beauty What is the toughest and best part of being a Makeup Artist?

The hardest, it definitely always will be to get in frequency about customers are asking me for, finding a perfect balance between the proposals of both sides, know what they expect from me will always be a great challenge, and the best comes with final satisfaction of having fulfilled their expectations as mine.

Beauty Whose face would you love to work on?

Katy Perry or Lady Gaga.
