Beauty Creatives.com: Tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Adamme (UH-Dom-May) Sosa Born and Raised in Fresno Ca. I was the quiet boy who was bullied because of my natural desire for Music, Dance, Makeup ARTS... you just didn't do that in my hood ... but I pursued it anyway with great guidance from teachers... eventually I went from small town boy to the Big APPLE- NYC working with MAC cosmetics and auditioning for broadway shows... 911 forced me to move back to CALI, I have done makeup for Awards shows, TV, Film,Commercial, Theater, and Landed a 3 year contract in Vegas as a Headliner Performer and I was the Hair and Makeup Designer for the show. I have always loved to "break boundaries " as I have had to prove myself worthy in each realm of the ARTS... being that Ive struggled with weight management I was encouraged by a friend to audition for Dance Your ASS off a dance and weight loss TV show Oxygen Network 2010 lost over 100lbs took runner up , kept it off for 2 years but gained it back past year ... I may not fit into my skinny jeans but i still fit into my Makeup ! hehehe I love this Opportunity to be involved with battle of the strands its the perfect challenge to stretch myself and push me to new limits ... Im a lover not a hater but make no mistake ... I'm the " Beauty Warrior " Watchaaaa. ow ow ow ow ow (indian scream hehehe)

Beauty Creatives.com: Did you always want to be a Makeup Artist?

My 1st goal was Music, band, which led to Chior- Singing, which led to Dance and Music at Performing arts high school it was there that I really saw the magic of stage makeup as we had to learn how to do stage makeup for our musical shows

Beauty Creatives.com: What prompted you to get into Makeup Artist?

My mom is a beautician from the 1960s and she always does her hair and makeup everyday before leaving the house , and my Late Cousin Maureen was a makeup artist at Glamor Shots in the 90's these 2 inspired me and i looked up to how Glamorous they were... I followed by getting a job at Star shots as a makeup & Hair stylist in the 1990's I had no clue what i was doing but they gave me a chance at 16 1/2 years old


Beauty Creatives.com: What's the biggest challenge you faced on your road to becoming a Makeup Artist?

My biggest challenge was not knowing where to go , how to network, working in retail cosmetics was a stepping stone but sometimes can keep you booked so hard to catch a break on a freelance gig


Beauty Creatives.com: Where do you find your inspiration?

People... I love people and each different face and each structure is different , also Emotional MOOD, MUSIC, Attitude all inspire my ART & expression

Beauty Creatives.com: If I asked your educator one negative and one strength about you what would they be?

Negative - So many creative ideas all at once, Strength - So many creative ideas all at once hahaha... Negative - Focus ... Postive - Passionate , creative, LOVE

Beauty Creatives.com: What is the toughest and best part of being a Makeup Artist?

Its tough to have consistent gigs, but the best part is its "look good feel good business" I love being able to make people FEEL GOOD, and FEEL BEAUTIFUL

Janet Jackson, she's my Pop star crush- i identify with her story so much

Beauty Creatives.com: Can you tell us a memorable moment you had while doing makeup?

I've done make up for rich celebrity clients, for working class, models, tv , film, commercial but the most rewarding was when i did a face painting gig for Fresno Children's Hospital "St. Baldricks Children" 1 lil girl was on cancer medication her tubes were still connected to her face and body but for 1 hour she was able to play and have fun I painted a tiger / lion face paint on her... that was 2 years ago, just this past month that lil girl came to see "the lil mermaid " i did hair and makeup and choreography for the mom and lil girl gave me a hug and said they never forget that day. Now thats the magic of makeup ... better than a million dollars... the lil girl is cancer free and has all her hair back now .

My makeup brushes 1. eyeshdaow brush, 1 blush brush, 1 angled liner ,

Rose is the team lead and I enjoy her a lot... Rose knows Beauty is our team name and so the name speaks for itself ... we KNOW BEAUTY!

Beauty Creatives.com: What's your preparation for Battle of the Strands?

I am a self proclaimed "Beauty Warrior" so get ready for some Cowboys and Indians baby... Im whipping out the bow and arrow " hahahah Mild to Wild lets GO!

Beauty Creatives.com: What can the makeup industry expect from Adamme Sosa in the next 5 years?

As a Makeup Artist I plan to build my makeup studio into a Internationally recognized brand , I dream of having my own successful cosmetics brands as well as producing products and brands markets for others... I love to teach and so I also want a successful makeup academy where I can pay this knowledge forward and help others gain wings to sour to new heights in there life.
