Beauty Creatives.com: Tell us a little about yourself?

Im from Alabama, started in the industry at 17 and @22 opened Hair Reflections. I have studied abroad as well.

Beauty Creatives.com: Did you always want to be a hairstylist?

Im from a hairdressing family, never planned on being a hairstylist.  Chose to take cosmetology as an elective in high school and that was the beginning of knowing that what I loved.

Beauty Creatives.com: What prompted you to get into hair?

Im the creative type, love working w/my hands and making people look & fell great. I adore all areas of fashion with that, hair was my destiny.

Beauty Creatives.com:  What's the biggest challenge you faced on your road to becoming a Hairstylist?

Being able to be a business owner and the creative force of hair in the salon.


Beauty Creatives.com: Where do you find your inspiration?

I love to travel, Im the outdoorsy type and couture fashion.  Mostly I'm inspired from different cultures of the world.

Beauty Creatives.com: If I asked your educator one negative and one strength about you what would they be?

The negative would be Im my own worst enemy and an overachiever.  The positive would be I don't quit till the job is done and I always give my best.


Beauty Creatives.com: What is the toughest and best part of styling hair?

The toughest is staying up with trends as well as consistently perfecting your skills.  There is a major difference in consumer driven fashion in salon VS the work i love to do in fashion as editorial work.  The best part is I have the opportunity to do both.

My first fashion week NYC.  As head stylist and seeing my brand of products on the seats of all the celebrity chairs.

Promoting Rose Knows Beauty as a brand as well as continuing my work as an educator/distributor & salon owner.  My focus is to build this brand.  I want to travel & enjoy each day.
